Alejandro Allen, MA is a Researcher in the Health Learning, Translation, and Quality Measurement program at AIR. Allen is an experienced qualitative researcher responsible for coordinating data collection efforts, conducting interviews and focus groups, analyzing qualitative data, technical writing, and conducting research activities in Spanish. He has worked with a variety of populations, including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, school-aged children, justice-involved youth, low-income populations, and people with substance use disorders. In addition to his work as a qualitative researcher, Allen serves as the project manager for the NIDILRR-funded VRM-IDD project and Exito! Doctoral Education project funded through AIR’s Opportunity Fund. Previous to AIR, he worked as a Research Assistant at Gibson Consulting Group and both the School of Social Work and the Department of Anthropology at Texas State University. Mr. Allen holds an MA degree in anthropology from Texas State University, where he focused on medical anthropology.
