Research Assistant/ Engagement Lead

Amelia Vasquez is a Research Assistant in the Learning Supports program area of the Human Services division at American Institutes for Research (AIR). Her primary responsibilities include conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, supporting project management efforts, and creating memos and presentations based on research findings for internal and external distribution. With an expertise in early childhood education, Vasquez works on multiple AIR projects involving early literacy interventions, supports for English Learner (EL) students, and out-of-school programming for historically excluded students. Previously, Vasquez was a mixed-methods Research Assistant at the Institute for Policy Research (IPR) for three years, where she performed data analysis, facilitated interviews and surveys, and wrote memos for dissemination to policy stakeholders. She has four years of experience in mixed-methods research across multiple policy areas of early childhood education and care. Vasquez holds a B.S. in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University’s School of Education and Social Policy.
